Wait until every transfer is complete, use the device’s eject function when available, then remove the reader without bending the built-in leads.
Protect the connection
Do not remove a card, USB device or the reader while data is transferring. Sudden removal may interrupt the transfer or damage open files.
Keep the ports clean and dry, hold the connector housing rather than pulling the cable, and store the reader away from heat, moisture and heavy pressure.
